Welcome to High School Blitz Girls Flag Football
South Carolina High School Blitz Flag Football is proud to be the only high school–aged team in the state officially sanctioned by both USA Flag and NFL Flag. While other flag football programs exist in South Carolina, they primarily serve younger age groups. Our team stands alone in offering high school athletes a nationally recognized platform to compete and grow in the sport. By leading the way, Blitz is setting the standard for what girls’ flag football can become in South Carolina.
Flag football is rapidly growing across the country, with more colleges offering scholarships and competitive opportunities for female athletes. This is an incredible chance for young women in South Carolina to not only compete but also open doors for their future in sports and education.
As interest continues to rise, we are hopeful that more high school–aged teams will emerge across the state, expanding opportunities for young women to participate. Establishing these programs is a critical step toward encouraging the South Carolina High School League to sanction girls’ flag football at the state level.
Sanctioning the sport would affirm the league’s commitment to creating pathways for girls to compete, showcase their talents, and pursue opportunities at the collegiate level — including the chance to earn scholarships.
